I was born and raised in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. In 2004 at the age of 16, I joined the Minquas Fire Company No. 2 of the Downingtown Fire Department as a Volunteer Firefighter. During my tenure, I held the positions of Senior Firefighter, Lieutenant, Vice President, and currently Quartermaster. The fire company awarded me both Junior Firefighter of the Year and Firefighter of the Year for my dedicated service to the community over the course of 20 years. I attribute my initiative, leadership, courage, and quick thinking to my time in the fire service. This experience lead to securing full-time employment with Witmer Public Safety Group, a company dedicated to providing life-saving equipment to first responders.
In October 2011, I joined Witmer Public Safety Group. During my time career I've held various positions within the organization including Inside Sales Representative, Inside Sales Team Lead, Product Manager for Apparel, Boots, & PPE, and finally Project Specialist. My responsibilities in each of these roles have ranged from acting as a trusted adviser for public safety organizations across the country to managing excess and obsolete inventory for our 100 million dollar company. Similarly to my time in the fire service, I dedicated almost 10 years to learning and growing within this industry to keep my knowledge fresh, relevant, and ever-expanding.
After spending almost 10 years at Witmer Public Safety Group I transitioned to Eagle Business Software in Lancaster, PA. Eagle Business Software is a computer software company that helps make business growth easier by putting ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software to work. My role was an Account Manager directly under the Director of Account Management. As an Account Manager my responsibilities included:
In November of 2022 I joined First Due. By combining my years of service in firefighting and previous work history from Eagle Business Software I became a Client Success Manager. Everyday I talk to career, combination, and volunteer fire agencies across the state of Pennsylvania to ensure they have the software tools to complete fire incidents, inspections, and apparatus and equipment checks.
I made the decision in May of 2023 to pursue my dream of becoming a career firefighter. From June 2023 until March 2024 I worked as a Firefighter/EMT with the Carroll County Department of Fire & EMS in Maryland. I was assigned to D-Platoon at Station 1 staffing Medic 18, Engine 12, Truck 1, or Rescue 1. The led to my current career role as a Firefighter/EMT with Upper Merion Township Department of Fire & EMS as of March 2024.
On a personal level, I've dedicated over a decade to recreational ball hockey. Throughout that time I've captained multiple championship-winning teams in various leagues and tournaments, organized successful fundraising events, and maintained lasting and meaningful friendships. In 2012, I immersed myself in the world of obstacle course racing. To further fuel this passion, I started my own blog to encourage newcomers and the growth of the sport. Through blogging about my course triumphs, I received several requests to write featured posts for obstacle course racing websites.
Motivated by challenge and a desire to help others succeed, I thrive in positions of leadership. My unparalleled level of dedication, as evidenced throughout my career, has conditioned me for making difficult decisions and managing a diverse group of individuals. I look forward to turning current challenges into future opportunities.
